About the Artist

Sonja Hilmer, owner and founder of Fayelight Creations LLC, is an athlete and artist from Colorado Springs, Colorado. She has been a competitive figure skater since the age of 3 and has represented Team USA internationally as a senior women's singles competitor. Her creative nature has led her to accomplishments both as a competitor and a coach, including gaining recognition for her choreography both nationally and internationally, as well as creating her own rule clarification under the ISU system. 

Off the ice, Sonja is a freelance illustrator with a passion for exploring a unique combination of media, and entertaining any artistic ideas she wants to try out. She is also a competitor in cosplay craftsmanship, competing at the masters level in Colorado and winning a number of awards. 

Her goal for Fayelight Creations LLC is to provide an enjoyable experience for clients both in the art world and on the ice, spread the kindness and joy that makes this world so special, and create something that feels truly hand made.
