Handmade Wooden Dagger Letter Opener

This 100% hand carved wooden letter opener is themed off of a fantasy dagger design and assembled like a true sword. Each piece (blade + tang, guard, handle, pommel) was individually carved from poplar dowel using a draw blade, chisel, sandpaper, hand drill, and pocket knife... no power tools were used in this entire project! All pieces were then assembled with wood glue. After a light stain on the hilt and a top coat, a hemp cord wrapping was added including beads and conure parrot feathers. This is the perfect functional item for any fantasy nerd! 9" long by 2.5" at widest point.

*The edges are blunted with the intention that this dagger can only be used to open letters, however this still has a beveled blade shape!
